Systems engineering was created 1993 by two former Daimler Benz Aerospace AG technicians, who at that time already had an experience of 15 years in calibration of test equipment by many different manufacturers.

Only one year after foundation the laboratory becomes DKD accredited by the PTB (Federal Standards Laboratory of Germany) for the first five electrical measurements.

Systems Engineering was one of the first enterprises which could accomplish DKD accredited on-site calibrations also with a mobile laboratory. We continue to pursue this quality politics constantly: In November 2004 the laboratory achieved the ISO / IEC 17025 accreditation (DKD) for the quantity of temperature. In 2014, Systems Engineering got the DAkkS accreditation, the new 17025 accreditation in Germany (which relieves the former DKD accreditation).
